On behalf of the Western-Fanshawe Nursing Students’ Association, we would like to invite you to apply to attend the Nursing Games 2020. 

 

Nursing Games will be held at McMaster University from March 20-22nd, 2020. Universities from across Ontario send teams of nursing students to compete in academic, skill-testing, and sports-related events. The games serve as a wonderful opportunity to socialize, meet colleagues, and show your school spirit! Students will also get the opportunity to socialize with nursing students from other schools at the opening and closing ceremonies/celebrations.

 

The team will be leaving on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 8pm to accommodate for the upper nursing year students’ placements. We will be leaving McMaster on the morning of Sunday, March 22, 2020 around 9-10am.  

 

We have applied to the Student Opportunity Fund (SOF) on behalf of the team in order to have some of the fees subsidized. SOF coverage decisions are pending approval so we are not certain about how much funding we will receive, but we will let you know as soon as possible. Individuals on the team will likely have to pay about $120 if we receive the full amount of SOF funding we have applied for. The cost per team member includes accommodation, transportation, and the registration fee.

 

Unfortunately, Fanshawe first and second year students will not be covered by SOF since their tuition does not pay into the fund, therefore, those students wanting to attend will have to pay the full price without funding which will likely be about $250-$300.
